I’m 19 and I’ve been working since I was 16. I don’t come from a struggling background—my family supported me with good private schooling and college—but I started earning early out of my own ambition.

Right now I run a business that does very good.The problem is managing it alongside university. I’m currently in my 2nd semester of IT, with morning classes, and it’s getting really hard to balance both. I feel stretched thin and not able to give 100% to either.

I’m considering switching to Data Science (DS) in the evening program so I can manage my business better during the day. Long-term, I want to build a software company, so I don’t want to sacrifice my future career just for my current income.

I’m not really interested in university life, events, or social stuff—my focus is purely on learning and building something meaningful.

Do you think switching to an evening DS program is a smart move in this situation? Or should I stick with IT and try to push through the current schedule?

Would appreciate honest advice, especially from people who’ve been in a similar position.

I tried searching around for closing merit of this degree but couldn't find it anywhere. I only found the first merit list which opened at 80.2% last year. My current aggregate is coming at 79.3%. Is there any chance of me getting in?? And can i get in on first merit list for fall 26. Will the merit drop??

Evening ki visiting faculty unko khud nhi pta kaise chltay Hain uni main plus evening ka off scene no events no campus life tuition center feel hota ha and you can't even go anywhere in the evening as you have classes better to have a gap year than coming to evening.
