Qantas new A321XLR routes - Thoughts?
As Qantas starts receiving more A321XLRs, what new routes do we think Qantas will open? Could they launch services across Asia from their new Singapore base?
How much will Qantas charge for non-stop flights to London?
executivetraveller.comVA 737-10 deliveries?
Does anyone know where VA fits in the cue for the 737-10? I know some -10s are being made ready for delivery as soon as the aircraft is certified like Westjet and United, and VA was a customer that ordered the -10 a long long time ago so you’d think they would be one of the first to receive the type?

Just after some advice please
Flying Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Sydney with a layover of 1.5 hours before flying to Tokyo (Haneda) just wondering if we do the customs side of things in Melbourne or Sydney and whether we need to get our baggage in Sydney or if it goes straight through to Tokyo?
TIA
Flight from Atlanta to Darwin - advice re baggage
I've booked my daughter a flight with American Airlines. Long flight Atlanta > LAX > Sydney > Darwin. All on the one ticket booked via American Airlines site.
She's finishing up at College after 5 years and will be paying for an extra checked bag over the 1 included. Plus a dufflebag for her gear for competition in Darwin that she will take on American as carry on.
Obviously she will need to collect bags at Sydney and she has about a 12 hour layover so is intending to drop her 2 large checked bags with her grandparents, do some training and then come back that night with just the dufflebag.
In America in this situation she would just keep the dufflebag as carry-on but this leg is with Jetstar. I haven't flown with them for years but I remember they had really restrictive carry-on restrictions. Will that still be the case when you are booked via American? If she has to check her duffle will she be able to get it re-tagged in Sydney?
Edit: Just to update what it says on the ticket re baggage:

If your flight is operated by a partner airline, see the other airline’s website for carry-on and checked bag policies.
Carry-on bags (American Airlines operated flights)
Personal item A small purse, briefcase, laptop bag, or similar item that must fit under the seat in front of you.
Carry-on Maximum dimensions must not to exceed: 22" long x 14" wide x 9" tall (56 x 35 x 23 cm).
EDIT 2:
Good old AI to the rescue. Asked perplexity and gave it the ticket and it advised me to use the jetstar confirmation number to check (I hadn't even noticed that). She is entitled to a 32kg checked bag to Darwin.
Thanks all for your help.
How strict Airline in Duffel bag carry on size?
I just bought a duffle bag 71L, from K-m*rt. I just noticed after opening the duffle bag in home that it a bit bigger than my usual carry on suitcase.
How strict the airline would be here for the size?
Should I just bought a new one? And is this returnable?
Plans unveiled for ‘Ryanair-style’ airline at Western Sydney Airport
“Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) could play host to a new ultra-low-cost carrier under plans by a former Ansett and Qantas executive.
Zinc Airlines, a project by Peter Kelly, who ran both Ansett’s Golden Wing Club and Qantas Frequent Flyer and helped establish Jetstar before moving into aviation consulting, is seeking to raise $200 million for what is described as a business model patterned on Ryanair.
According to Kelly, Zinc would fly between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane initially before potentially expanding to the Gold Coast, with a fleet of solely Airbus A321neo aircraft, with fares cheaper than Jetstar’s.”
