Creating a comprehensive collection of TTRPG podcasts

We are working on creating a vast repository of various TTRPG podcasts and I'd appreciate any recommendations for any shows worth sharing with the rest of the TTRPG community.

Either stuff you personally recommend, or things you are involved with. As long as it fits the theme, I would love to read any and all recommendations.

Currently the list is small, but as I discover various shows, I keep adding them.

Starfinder Actual Play wants YOU!

Niall here from No Quest for the Wicked! You may know us from working with Paizo for the world premier of Starfinder 2E, or the Gifts Ungiven live show at PAX Unplugged. Or you may know us from our multi award winning first season Reckoning!

We're currently in the middle of Season 2 of our homebrewed Starfinder actual play (you don't need to have listened to season 1, although it will add to the experience) and this time we're letting you take part!

Make an in-world faction, vote on city council matters that shape the very world we play in, and even add quirks conflicts and catastrophes to the hands of fate themselves...

We've had special guests from 3 Black Halflings and Transplanar on so far, with more to come.

So if getting involved in an actual play in an unprecedented way sounds like fun, or if exploring a mysterious planet that just appeared in the solar system sounds intriguing...

Come check out No Quest for the Wicked, Season 2: Frontiers!

Your Mt. Rushmore of Actual Plays?

Hi everyone. I'm always on the hunt for actual plays to get engrossed in. So I'm asking people to list there top four actual plays that they have enjoyed. It can be any game. The only caveat is that I now only have time for podcasts, not videos. I listen mainly when I'm in the car or working by myself at work.

I'll start off with mine and thanks to everyone who responds!

  1. Critical Role Campaign 1 - What can I say? I laughed a lot. I cried. I got totally absorbed in the story and characters.

  2. Star Raiders Campaign 1 - my favorite Starfinder actual play. A great cast of characters and dm.with a friendly antagonistic relationship. Fantastic homebrew campaign with a unexpected twist early on.

  3. Third Gallon's Outlaws of Alkenstar - perhaps the best representation of friends just sitting around the table and playing. They also avoid the complaints about the AP and tell a great story.

  4. LA by Night - I laughed and I cried. The acting on here was incredible and the quality of the guest characters is the best of any actual play I consumed.

They checked the CCTV on board, and somebody walked out of THEIR SHIP?!

Hi guys!
Just another short clip of our Mothership AP. It was out first recording and we're so proud of how it went!

We're a UK group, who will be playing different TTRPG's every time, whether they be oneshots or short adventures.

If you like what you see please check out the full episode over on YouTube!

How do you find content?

Question for the actual play lovers...

How do you find new content to consume? I kind of like the adventure of poking around without influence but I know others go right for recommendations. Just curious.

I'm getting ready to start filming my first actual play that uses genuine video feed. I am curious if anyone has suggestions or recommendations for filming shows and such that wont kill video quality during it and gives me the option to download the video feed after. Maybe it's too good to be true, but if anyone has a lead let me know! TIA!

Hey mythos lovers...

We just released the latest episode of our Damnatio Memoriae campaign, and I’m dying for people to hear it. This session was a lesson in how a high-stakes cosmic horror investigation can turn into the most intense chaos the moment the dice turn cold. We went into a modernist mansion on San Juan Island expecting a grisly forensic sweep of a triple-decapitation and ended up with a rescue attempt that resulted in an agent accidentally kneecapping their own teammate. >!On top of that, we had to deal with a witness whose head literally collapsed into a black hole and with a!< "clean-up" order that our guest operative interpreted very differently, resulting in one of the funniest miscommunications I've had in a game.

As always, thank you for the support and listening!

Ight so I am just about finished with Chaos Theory which is the first ever Actual play that I’ve listened to. I loved listening to it during work but they haven’t released anything about Chaos Theory in like 8 months so the campaign is probably dead. So if you have any actual plays that are like Chaos Theory or any Mystery campaign that follow detectives, as long as it’s on Spotify I’m down.

In this week's episode of our Daggerheart actual play, the gang learns more about Mother Demeris' plans for the Senate and Council of Faith. Our trio gets to meet a young cultist up close and personal, and they get prepped for a mission to save Herry's older sister.

Hi AP fans & creators! I launched ActualPlay.World a month ago with a straightforward mission: help people discover their new favorite actual play.

There's been a lot of interest and I've gotten lots of great feedback, but the #1 thing I've observed is that the majority of the engagement is from AP creators.

This is great, and I've loved speaking to many of you on reddit and on the APW discord.

But it behooves all of us to primarily get regular visits from viewers, listeners & fans, and this is where I could use some perspective.

Is there anything I should be doing differently? Are there features you'd like to see? Are there bugs I'm not aware of?

Happy to hear any thoughts y'all might have!

In this episode the survivors deal with the aftermath and possible ramifications of their injuries. They get lost in the jungle. There's a hatch? They get lost in the jungle again! Chloe and Elias make a connection. Are they being followed? Don't miss this one!...

Note: Thanks to “ZapSplat” for the sound FX they provided!
