[Actual Play] When the mission is so bad your brain literally deletes it

We just wrapped up the second scenario of our Damnatio Memoriae arc, "Herostratus," and it was a roller-coaster of psychological horror. After reality tore open in a modernist mansion, the team had to deal with an invulnerable witness and a cover story that required framing a dead cop. It all culminated in a midnight boat pyre and a slow, haunting epilogue where the characters' memories were systematically scrubbed by the unnatural. If you want to see how Delta Green handles "Mission Failure" when the failure is written into the fabric of time itself. Thank you for listening!

Hey mythos lovers...

We just released the latest episode of our Damnatio Memoriae campaign, and I’m dying for people to hear it. This session was a lesson in how a high-stakes cosmic horror investigation can turn into the most intense chaos the moment the dice turn cold. We went into a modernist mansion on San Juan Island expecting a grisly forensic sweep of a triple-decapitation and ended up with a rescue attempt that resulted in an agent accidentally kneecapping their own teammate. >!On top of that, we had to deal with a witness whose head literally collapsed into a black hole and with a!< "clean-up" order that our guest operative interpreted very differently, resulting in one of the funniest miscommunications I've had in a game.

As always, thank you for the support and listening!

The crew heads back in time in this episode. The second scenario in Damnatio Memoriae is heating up. Thank you for listening!

The air was salt and stagnant diesel, and the man waiting on the bench was the greatest mystery of all: Agent Liam. Younger, sharper, his face yet unmarred by the scrubbing that would one day turn him into the hollowed-out wreck known as Roger Douglas.

Madison’s briefing was a collection of uncomfortable facts: a modernist villa on San Juan Island, three decapitated bodies, and a Guru who claims he was merely traveling through a meditative trance when the heads were taken. It is the sort of story the deep state would call a messy distraction, but for Delta Green, it’s a siren song.
