PC was running just fine a few weeks ago and then randomly started to crash every time I tried playing a game, doesn’t matter what game it is. I’ll go to launch a game and the screen goes black but my fans are still running so I have to shut down the motherboard. When I looked into the Event Viewer I see an error 10016 saying “The application-specific permission setting does not grant Local Launch permission for the COM Server application with CLSID.” Is this what is causing my games to crash? Or does it sound like another problem? Drivers are up to date. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

after the lebanese war ended where i left my pc back home for 45 days. i came back and whenever im playing something, 20 mins-ish in and my pc turns off suddenly. no error message no crash no freezing no nothing, its like u pulled the plug. I tested my ram and fixed my C: files thing, nothing. i tried cleaning it after the long time that passed, still happens. my psu is like 3 months old, and its not a heating issue cuz my pc doesn't feel warm when i opened i check.

I just wanna have my emails and accounts safe..

This happened the thursday of the past week. I was trying to install a switch emulator in my Asus laptop and I got a malware installed

I didn't noticed, I went to college on Friday morning but at 1 pm I received a Russian email one of when you click on forgot your password on steam, but I had steam guard and I guess that didn't work

So they hacked me my discord instead and send Bitcoin scam to my dm

Well, I recovered my discord account a few minutes after and change password and also change password of all my emails

I thought this was over but today, literally 8 days after that I got an email that said that someone enter into my X (twitter) account like an hour and half ago I also change password and clicked the "it wasn't me" option in the Gmail so the account is like blocked

I don't know if this has something to do with the malware cause I actually don't use never, not even once Twitter in my laptop

Is from my email?

Anyway I don't care about that X account is my secondary and I don't have nothing I wanna have it back to delete it, but most importantly I wanna know what I can do to be safe, I already reset my laptop Friday day when it happened I have a lot in mi emails and one is from the school

I feel so bad cause I can't tell my parents, I don't know If my laptop is still infected, and I don't know nothing of this, what can I do?

Hoping someone can help me. I have a pretty new HP Laptop. I had only used it a couple of times, but had no issues each time. The next time I used it, it turned on but it wouldn’t open up. It looks like the screen wants to scroll up and open, but it doesn’t. It just stays on blue screen. Any ideas on what might be the problem?

Okay so, I left for a trip on Sunday and I shut down my pc before leaving. I came back last night and my pc won’t turn on. So far, I’ve tried plugging my pc directly into the wall outlet, disconnected all peripherals, did a PSU paperclip test (PSU turned on along with the LED on the motherboard and case), and tried removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes and put it back in. Does this mean my motherboard is faulty?

currently planning to buy a router with openwrt support, but my isp router lacks a bridge mode, for which i have to get in touch with the isp customer support....will it cause any issues for multiplayer games in general?...

my connection is already under cgnat, so i guess it will be triple nat instead....getting a static ip is not possible since they only allow it for business connections....

In the AppData, the Folder Google and Chrome contains the Play Games Folder, which is 512 gb big. I deleted it with wiztree and i got no new free space up on my drive. So.....huh? I deleted it and got no space from it? Why does Wiztree show me that it took all the spacE?

I have my HDMI cables connected properly, I turn on my computer just to see it doesn't show on the monitor. But when I do the same with my Xbox, it somehow works. I tried changing the hdmi inputs through the menu but it just won't change, it stays stuck at whatever the Xbox's hdmi cable is connected to.
