Laptop clock won't keep time between power cycles, cmos battery replacement did not fix issue
I have a 2021 Legion 5 Pro-16ACH6H Type 82JQ.
A recent problem is the clock stopped keeping time between power cycles, so I need to sync the clock every time it boots.
I sent it to an IT repair shop in Indonesia (currently backpacking here).
We replaced the cmos battery but this did not resolve the problem. They sent me a message then saying a fix beyond the battery would be too risky and decided not to go ahead. To be fair they have been very professional and polite. I just post this because I want to better understand the issue and maybe get a second opinion?
