Lost my first Boston 10 years ago today

He was a family dog my brother brought home when I was just 15 years old in August 2005. I remember our electricity was out, and we were eating McDonalds. My bro swore to my mom he was just pet sitting but Nitro came home with a name tag of our address on it 😂 we also brought him a cage and that lasted all of 10 minutes of him crying. his name was Hercules because he was the smallest of the group, and we changed it to Nitro. I didn’t get my first iPhone/smart phone until 2014, we lost him 2016. So not a ton of photos and most of my photos are from cameras.he lived to 11 and a half. Poor thing fell off the couch early on, broke his leg and the hospital botched the surgery (he closed down soon after), so he was left with a leg he couldn’t fully use but he didn’t let it slow him down and used it almost as a way to kick himself forward with when running lol.

Just wanted to share the dog that started my love for Boston terriers! ❤️ feel free to share yours

Friend seems disappointed when I don’t react all excitedly

My friend sent me a photo of her kid today dressed as a doctor and one of those papers where you say what you want to be when you grow up and she sent it to me all excitedly today. As if it should make my entire day…. I said “so cute!!” And hearted the photo but she seems kind of put off by my reaction. Was she expecting something more? I can’t really force myself to be all excited. I have nothing against her kid but I’ve noticed this a lot with her and just people in general. I definitely react more lovingly when she sends a photo of her cat, but I can’t help it that I don’t find 6 year olds adorable. In fact that’s around the age I find them least adorable and they annoy me the most lol.

Am I awful for just replying “so cute!!” Rather than making a huge fuss over it? She didn’t say anything, but she just got quiet after and has done this before when she sends photos of her kids. Keep in mind this is when we’re having a full on convo the whole day, so the quietness isn’t normal. II never react badly, but I also don’t go crazy over it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

People always say prepare to wake up early when you get a dog. Well; Damian is not a morning pup lol. 9:30am and I just barely got him downstairs and now he’s sleeping again. He really actually wakes up 11 for the day and then causes chaos the whole day 🤣
