basically the title.. anyone know quality brands that are not DAC (Diamond Art Club)? its not the price or the drama, the selection just isnt there anymore. I like the square diamonds and I really appreciate the quality of canvas, glue, and gems of DAC.
TIA!!
I've gotten the question myself but I've seen it around - how/why to use the release paper sheets, why not tear the big sheet, how to hold the sheet back..
below is just a breakdown on why.
I'm left handed, so i do left to right/bottom to top/diagonal however I feel. I've torn a square up on the sheet, but its held by my kit. its heavy enough to also hold if I pull it up to tent to I can finish the pattern in a further section without tearing.
I wanted to start with the butterfly so I put the individual sheets along the sticky bit on the left since in left handed.
I will then do the background starting in the bottom left and place a release sheet under my wrist so my wrist doesn't get gem imprints/pick up diamonds that aren't sticking well.
I use a ~6inch glass bottle to roll it out occasionally.
I only tear squares OFF once that section and some (or more) of the section beyond it is complete just to keep it safe from dust and cats :)
I'd love to hear if yall do different and why!
update!!!
wow does this look so much better than i thought it would!!! he got a shoe last friday to help hold the foot together. he got the hoof unwrapped probably this most recent Friday, so hes had the shoe just over a week.
he hasnt been lame on it at all! he doesnt even necessarily favor the good foot.
he has been in a double wide, deeply bed, always clean stall, and has also had access to a runout for just over a week!
we had been giving him banamine and SMZs for a while, but we quit those this most recent friday as well. he is definitely on the mend!!!
(full picture at the end just bc hes so cute 🥰)
