Freshman year is going to end.

I'm doing a BS Economics program (3yrs, can extend to 4) from a top private in India.

I have rn no extracurriculars in university as of now, except that, I'm in the Student Placement Committee (helps coordinating students with companies for jobs, internstips etc)

My CGPA is a bit of a concern. It was 8.2/10 in my first semester, and likely is going to be the same this (2nd) semester too.

I have am going to give CFA L1 this year, and aiming to clear L2 before graduation.

Aiming for a 720+ on my GMAT too.

Now, for the CGPA, it's because it's one of the toughest Econ courses here in India (think constant failing, low marks, 6-7 hours of college everyday through M-F). Most probably my 8.2 is top 10% of the class.

Apart from this I have few small little to no meaning certificates (Forage JPM IB Simulation, Bloomberg Market Concepts)

For what I want to do after my graduation, is to work in a Bank for their IB division, but the problem is, IB jobs in India are practically non existent for undergrads, but even then I'll have to try my best. My second choice, is, if IB doesn't work out, is to work at an Equity firm.

I don't know if this data helps you in giving me some advice, but please, drop anything you want. Really confused if I should even apply.
