I got Tinder on Friday and matched with a bunch of guys. I was messaging some of them and within a few messages or within a couple hours of talking, i asked if they want to grab a drink. And then they go silent and never reply.

Am I meant to be talking to them for longer before asking for a date? I thought the point of this was to find people you might want to date and then go on a date to see if you vibe irl.

How long do you talk to someone before asking them on a date?

And personally I don’t really like trying to get to know someone over an app while they’re a stranger. Prefer to just meet up with someone as long as they are attractive in their photos and don’t come across as a creep. Investing time and effort in an online stranger seems like a waste of energy. Or is this required in order to get dates on Tinder?
