Got this pretty-mint condition Lanier recorder. Can't really find the manual, so what are those two buttons on top of the unit?
If I press any of it while recording it just records silence. I thought one of them might be for index tone, but neither are making any kind of beep on fast forward. How to use it right?

Had my ID expired yesterday. Still waiting for a new ID card to come in the mail, meanwhile DMV issued me this printout page, that should be good as a valid photo ID while I'm waiting on a card.
It have a printout of a front of the card and a barcode from its back. All the data one would have on a real card.
Guess what? Instacart won't accept it.
Now I'm losing my money by not being able to work while I'm waiting for a card to arrive. Meh.
