Looking for a Chinese food place with monster portions
There’s no way LA beats us at this. Im looking for portions close to ts. Is it just Mr. Chau’s?

There is construction on Canal and the HAST. The bike lane detour that looks like a blockade but it’s all good. Thanks DPW for keeping people riding bikes safe!
Got my medal from the Milwaukee Marathon today and it has a misprint on it. It says "Milwaukee Marthon". I imagine they were all made that way. Just thought that was funny.
Shorewood store opened Feb 2016 to great fanfare. Mariano wanted it to be a showcase. Maybe just to entice Kroger & other suitors?
Bar, BBQ joint, bakery, deli, meat & cheese counters on first floor, plus the bar. All with real live staff serving customers.
Most of that optimistic vision has been gradually disappearing, with counters replaced by self-serve cases. And we all know the 2nd floor liquor depot leaked like a sieve, to the indigent lushes' delight.
Within the past few years I recall the bar hosted maybe one band, maybe a handful. Probably not doing much to increase sales per square foot. I'd like to say they gave it 10 years, but once Kroger took the reins, did they really do anything with this space?
let me start by saying I have no issues with the marathon occurring. kudos to the participants and all well wishers.
however, I have an issue with the organizers.
East West traffic is descimated during the event with absolutely no warning. I listen to all the local radio stations. I drive by all the highway/downtown billboards. None of them mentioned the marathon. Any heads up would be appreciated.

There was a military helicopter over my house in Fox Point... looked like this (pic attached) with two propellers. WTF?
Coming to Milwaukee for a couple of days and going to see a Brewers home game and explore the city. Keep reading about a free shuttle to the ballpark from Brat House Downtown. Thing is…we will be supporting the opposing team. Is the free shuttle/Brat house welcoming to people wearing jerseys/supporting the opposing team?
I called to ask but bartender couldn’t hear me at all (everyone was singing old country road in the background haha)
Happy to Uber if not, but don’t really want to plan for this if it’s not in the cards.
I have lived in places where you don’t even want to walk into a bar wearing a certain color on game day. So I am double checking.
If you happened to lose a ring that looks like a snake on Brady Street sometime before 6 am, yesterday, feel free to DM me. Friends of mine and I were going for coffee and found it. I don't want to post a picture of it in case of false claims, but if you can DM me the description of this ring, and I can confirm, then I would love to return it to it's proper owner.
Was a great day for a run! Just curious if anyone else’s chip time didn’t match their watch today? I know GPS watches aren’t always 100% accurate, but according to mine I went an extra 1/4 mile! Anyone else have a similar experience? Otherwise, what an awesome marathon and half today!
this sounds like a fever dream to explain, but about 5 years ago i went to a boba place specifically and it was in a combined business building. when you went downstairs, it was like a simulated park / outdoor area. there were more businesses down there, like ice cream trucks etc. does anyone know what im talking about???
Has anyone come across a garden center / nursery with day-neutral (e.g. Albion, Seascape, Evie, Eversweet etc.) strawberries available?
I've called half a dozen and only can find everbearing varieties. Bonus if it's south of the city!
Hey! I currently attend a writing club and art club at my local coffee shop and I love it. My partner doesn’t have much of a support group and I think that when he goes out, he isn’t surrounding himself with people or places that are healthy, and I think he just needs to join a club where he is learning or practicing a skill surrounded by like-minded good people. Just like I have art and writing club, do you guys have any recommendations for any good clubs or recreations or places? Thank you!
Friends of mine wanted to go to Wioletta's Polish Kitchen today. They paid for dinner. The food was mostly good. Got mushroom soup, which was just ok. Didn't like the red cabbage. I'm used to eating it sweet and sour and it's hot. This was cold like cole slaw. It didn't have much flavor. I had what was called breaded pork chop on the menu. It was more of a breaded pork cutlet. Didn't have cocktails. Had tea instead. Service was good. There was a guy going around pushing a cart collecting the dirty dishes as we ate. It was really busy tonight. Then again, it is Saturday. Many restaurants are busy on Saturdays. They automatically added the tip to the bill, even on a table of 4. Usually restaurants only add tip on tables of 6 or more. It wasn't terrible. In the same didn't have the same Polish vibe like when Polonez was in business. If they were staying in business. I'd probably try them again.
I was born and raised in Milwaukee, though no longer live there. However, three of my sisters do.
The oldest is 86, and amazing, the most pragmatic person I know, with all her wits about her. Her husband of 60 plus years died fairly recently.
She voluntarily stopped driving a year or so ago, and takes an Uber when she needs to go somewhere and her kids can't take her, but it can get expensive. She plays cards twice a week.
Where I live now there are some transportation options for us old folks (I'm only 76) so I'm wondering if there is something other than Uber available. She lives in Menominee Falls. I tried googling the Area Agency on Aging, but I no longer know what's in what county.
Appreciate any information.
I’m handy and know my way around tools, but messing with a car’s electronics scares me.
I grew up going to loads of shows at the Eagles Ballroom and the Rave in the 90s. There was always a camcorder fixed in the center of the balcony recording the show. So I wonder: where is this trove of shows? Is there anywhere to see them? A Type O Negative one was recently uploaded to Youtube and I know there are loads more out there floating around.
I’ll be going to Calderone Club on Friday for dinner. We plan to order a bottle of Italian red at the restaurant, but where should we go for a good cocktail (I LOVE dirty martinis) nearby before dinner? Preferably within walking distance.
