While walking on my treadmill I don’t wear any pants.

I have always done this, I have to have a tank top on. (31 m) I have worn them for so long I feel weird if I don’t have one on. And then I wear no pants, shorts, or even boxers lol. I wear socks and shoes, and I walk for about 2 hours a day. If I jog I put on boxers because it kinda hurts without some support. Anyways you never realize how different you are until you start living with someone or having someone over a lot. I never thought much of it but apparently it’s “really fucking weird”

Why do my friends think Williamsburg is unsafe?

Ok I recognize this is a bit of a tone def question, especially coming from a white transplant — I know that much of Brooklyn is heavily gentrified, especially Willy b. It may have historically not been as safe due to being severely underinvested in and overpoliced as a means to depress the historic demographic makeup in many neighborhoods that are now gettin developed into modern buildings with Whole Foods at the base. But I remain very confused.. the only times I have ever felt unsafe walking at night have been in Manhattan. The first time I went out in the west village there was a street fight that resulted in some guy bashing another one’s head in on scaffolding and my friend (living on UES) said that I “must be so used to this though” because I live in Brooklyn… what? I have never, nor would I ever expect to see something like that anywhere I’ve hung out in BK? Where does this come from?

My in-laws asked if Williamsburg is “safe to walk in during daytime hours.” My father-in-law also asked if there’s parking. My mother-in-law asked if the restaurant has white tablecloths. I am one man. Where am I taking them?!

I stumbled into a classic 2nd wave coffee shop in SF a few weeks ago during their heat wave and got an iced coffee that I'm still been dreaming of.

....It reminded me of the iced coffee I used to sip on 10-15 years ago before the cold brew craze. Cold brew is fine but I'm kind of sick of tweaking out on caffeine when I just want a little pick me up. And regular iced coffee is so....uncomplicated.

Anyone have some good recommendations? Ideally real coffee shops, not bodegas or bagel shops because those are too watery. I saw a few threads listing places in Williamsburg but anything in Park Slope/central BK or lower Manhattan?? Tysm!
