Hello all, I got all four wisdom teeth extracted on Wednesday 4/22. I was prescribed amoxicillin and pain medications. I finished the amoxicillin course yesterday (4/27).

Today, I developed a fever and chills. Currently, I have a fever of 99.6°F. I also have soreness (like a sore throat) around my bottom right extraction area, but no pain.

I tried contacting my oral surgeon, using the contact information they provided me, and got no response (despite multiple attempts). I also called my dentist office, who took note of my information and forwarded it to my oral surgeon.

I still have not heard from the surgeon, and I’m getting a bit scared/anxious. At what point do I just go to the ER to see if I might have an infection?
