terry scholar accepted at another school …..

hiiii guys, my friend committed to UT Austin and accepted the Terry Scholarship and was fully planning on attending this fall, but they just got off the waitlist at an Ivy League school.
Are they allowed to withdraw from UT/Terry after already accepting everything? Do people do this often? Is it considered a huge no-no or against some kind of contract?

We’re just confused high school seniors trying to understand how binding Terry actually is 😭 any advice or past experiences would help 🙏🙏🙏

my ex might be gay and idk how to process it

So my ex and I are both 18, and we dated from April-August 2025, but since then we’ve basically been on and off for months. We never officially got back together, but we’d still talk, go on dates, hookup, etc. We only recently went fully no contact for April.

I saw him again recently and apparently he’s been flirting with a guy for like the whole month we were no contact. At first I genuinely thought it was a joke, but all our mutual friends already knew about it. The thing is, throughout our relationship I had small suspicions he might like men, but I kinda pushed them away because… we literally dated. He told me he loved me, we were physically affectionate, all of that.

Now I’m lowkey spiraling because I don’t know how to process the possibility that he might be gay/into men and what that means about our relationship. My mom said maybe he loved me platonically or felt safe exploring his sexuality with me, which honestly made me feel even worse.

Has anyone else dealt with an ex coming out or realizing your ex maybe didn’t like you in the way you thought they did? How do you move on without questioning the entire relationship?
