Young boys parents die in crash
Film is probably late 80s or early 90s. A lesser known, drama film with no A lister celebs? Seems like a blur really but here's what I've hobbled together:
-film may be set in earlier 20th century. Unsure of decade, could be 1920s, thru 1970s? Little boy, 8or 9 years old, is sent to live with a female relative after his parents both unexpectedly die. (Maybe they died on the Titanic? Or a plane or a car accident?)
-film is about the boy just chilling, adapting to his new life maybe? There may be a carnival scene or merry-go-round scene. He's living with his aunt or grandparents?
At the end of the film, he's walking out of a room, pauses and turns back towards an adult and says something like, "from now on call me Bill". The end. Sound familiar?
Hey yall I'll keep it brief.
I'm currently a 30yo male. Great job, fiancé, situated in a good place etc...finally lol. Back in my early 20s, I partied w my boys, did the stuff, was in a few college rock bands, had a tight group of bros for a few years....mind u we were young, silly, not really settled w jobs or careers or finances etc. So naturally, there was gf drama, toxic partying, fights, falling outs, etc....long story short, we all drifted apart. I consciously ended all associations with these guys bc they were becoming negative, toxic influences etc...the slow drift started and meandered for a few months- a few months turned to a year or 2- covid happens, and boom; haven't seen or spoken to these guys in over 6 years or so. Good, I've moved on and am a completely different person. Don't follow them on social media, no numbers etc....I'm a completely different person now.
Now out of the complete blue, one guy texts me the other day completely out of nowhere. "Heyyyy, bro how have you been man!?" I haven't replied, and don't really know how to feel. I'm not sure I want to, yet part of me will then feel guilty about ghosting them or whatever. Any thoughts?
Hey fam.
