Philly local here - I made a short film that just dropped on Omeleto

Hey r/philly. I'm a filmmaker living in Philadelphia and teaching film at Temple University (shoutout r/temple!). My latest short film "Shot Clock" just premiered this week on Omeleto, the largest short film platform on YouTube. The project was supported by a Scribe Video Center grant.

"Shot Clock" is a 10-minute comedy about 3 teens hustling at street basketball in LA. Think "White Men Can't Jump" but with teenagers.

If this sounds up your alley, would appreciate a watch, like, and share. Thank you, Philly! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZTmaBEU5-w

Two LMU basketball alumni just starred in a short film that premiered on Omeleto

Two LMU basketball alumni - Anthony Yu and Mayoum Mayoum - just starred in a short film called "Shot Clock" that premiered on Omeleto, the largest short film platform on YouTube. Pretty cool to see these two former Lions tearing it up on screen! (Full disclosure: I directed the film)

Logline: An Asian teenager and his friends hustle people at basketball. But when the smack talk gets personal, they must choose between easy money and their friendship.

I made a short film about an Asian teen hustling people on LA courts by leaning into stereotypes - it just dropped on Omeleto

Growing up outside Atlanta, basketball was everything to me. But no matter how much I loved the game, I could always feel people sizing up my Asian face - assuming I was good at math, bad at sports.

So I made a film about it. It's a 10-minute comedy about three teens in LA who hustle people on the basketball court by leaning into stereotypes. Think "White Men Can't Jump" but with an Asian lead.

It officially dropped on Omeleto today. As an indie creator, the first 24 hours matter a lot! If you have 10 minutes, it would mean the world - likes and comments help a ton too.
