Not being perceived as a woman as a butch?

now before i get started I absolutely have no issue with anyone who identifies as non binary, is trans, or anything gender related this is strictly about how I’ve been perceived as a butch lesbian.

So I’m pretty tall, shaved hair, tattoos, just pretty masculine in appearance, but I feel like my behavior is more on the feminine side I guess? it’s both, some days I feel more masc, I don’t go full femme but I do want to be perceived as a woman, and lately it seems everyone assumes since I am butch I must be trans or nonbinary? (again I have no issue with people who are that, I used to think I was non binary when I was younger, then realized I’m comfortable with my gender) I just don’t like my womanhood being doubted just because I’m masculine as a woman. It feels like there’s been a shift, people cannot comprehend that masculine women exist. Even in relationships, women assume “I’ll be the man” in the relationship which is a whole entire thing but still related.

My point is I don’t know why it’s so hard for people to grasp just because I’m masculine that I must not identify as something other than a woman, I’m just a butch lmao.

It’s been frustrating me honestly, and I already have issues based on how I look cause I live in a very homophobic country, and this just adds on to it.

butches are still women!! I don’t understand why people can’t grasp that truly.
