Some things that have helped me

I think a lot of us don't have the intentions of hurting others but the impact is still very real, i'v recently started to take more steps towards accountability by recognizing that humans are fluid, who you were 5 years ago doesn't make you who you are now, the mistakes you make are easier to deal with when you practice shadow work, our identity's aren't based around terrible things we've done, i think we think this way because we tend to think in extremes, so when it comes to societal standards when i feel we think of criminals we think all of them are just terrible people when a lot of them just made very harmful decisions on a whim, don't set standards for yourself in a video game, if you do good just consider that the icing on the cake, the base of the cake is filled with fun so just enjoy that, it's easier to develop skills that'll calm you if you play fighting games, it takes time to develop skills, we really do get naturally better over time even if it's slowly, some skills we really excel in and lean into developing them, don't make promises to people

who you are is separate from your poor choices, you've made plenty of good choices work towards developing more of them, recognize people aren't entitled to your time or energy and respect that, you don't need to take on other peoples emotions, just validate there emotions and experiences even if you disagree just listen to them including your own, you don't need to give your opinion on everything and it's okay to not have the answers life isn't a competition, you chose what you think success is, you are not broken and you don't need to be fixed, just trust the process and don't obsess over fixing yourself, that's what leads to destructive tendencies, your developing at your own pace, reach out to get help with EMDR and CBT therapy

I think we have empathy it's just were too focused on this idea of fixing ourselves or putting unfair standards for ourselves and others, if you hate somebody recognize that your projecting, they aren't trying to steal your identity, we are all unique and the universe will naturally guide us to where we need to be, i found it easier to develop self love by building small habits of repeating mantra's before and after bed

Set small boundary for yourself but they don't have to be rigid, if you want to sleep at 9:00 you can be lenient and go to bed 5 minutes before or after, set boundary on how long you can talk about your serious issues, set time for yourself to think about what you struggle with and say it out loud to internalize it better, lean into positivity while acknowledging negatives, work towards being as honest as possible about your needs, most people are understanding even if it's hard, if they aren't then it just wasn't meant to be, respect and follow other peoples boundary and do not push them, don't put all your baggage onto other people

if i'm in need of comfort i repeat it or i hug myself, recognize your triggers and jolt them down, focus on developing yourself and your identity, This is my personal mantra i repeat before and after sleep

I only owe it to myself and no one else, I’m not broken, but I do have wounds that have shaped some unhealthy patterns. Those patterns don’t define who I am, they are mine to work on and change, my actions and identity are separated I can be loved and accepted, even with my trauma, I'm me, why would I want to be anything else?

Lastly ask yourself what do i think the world needs the most right now, and give it to yourself
