hi! this is probably a long shot, but i’m looking for indian almond tree leaves to drop into my fish tank. i don’t want to spend $20 to get a pack of 10 shipped. does anyone know where i could find a tree or someone selling leaves for cheap?

hello! i’m a beginner to this hobby and this is my first set up tank. i cycled the tank for a month before adding my betta jambu the day before yesterday. parameters are perfect and he’s having a great time exploring and showing his personality.

the substrate is fluval + black gravel on top. i’ve planted ambulias, wisteria and floating dwarf water lettuce. the wisteria on the left was planted yesterday as i accidentally but my previous ones too short and i wanted more coverage, so that’s why they look a bit shabby. i’ve been adding the occasional liquid fertiliser and everything seems to be thriving.

i was wondering, do i have too much substrate or too large of a hardscape in my tank? the tank itself is a 27 litre (7.13 gal). but with the substrate and hardscape i reckon the actual water is around 20-22 litres (5.2-8-5.81 gal). i know 20 litres is the absolute minimum for bettas, but i want to give jambu the best quality of life. should i remove some substrate or make my hardscape smaller?

any other advice is very much appreciated as im new to all of this. thank you!

this is my new betta! haven’t settled on a name yet, but he’s settled in nicely and is having fun exploring his tank.

when i was buying him, the store worker dropped him on the ground from around hip height. he scooped him back into the bag and the betta was definitely shocked, but recovered just fine.

i noticed that his fins look a little tattered in the middle. is this cause for concern? will they heal? or does this look perfectly natural?

would also love some name suggestions! thank you :)
