Journalism, is a business just like any other. So, how does a prospective journalist, who is just entering the field find a gap in the market? Something that editors are in the need for? What is the most reliable way of doing this?

23f, who is officially unemployed now, hasn't had a good year since 2019. I am considering leaving this mortal realm because I am also from a conservative family and they will eventually get me into an arranged marriage set up. It feels like walking the plank. Does it get better?

Hello, this is a desperate call for help. I have worked within the communication department of United Nations and currently European Union (Press and Information Section). I am trying to pivot back to newsroom roles, any leads would help. Thank you

It has been an absolute shit show since I (23f) graduated from high school (2020). Pandemic, OCD, Eating disorder, stuck in hometown, once left hometown realised that everybody is much better than me (at everything!)

My so-called "friends" plagiarised my in front of an international audience, I am job less with no experience in my field, parents constantly honing and pining for my marriage (I come from a conservative family), rejected from a scholarship to KCL (thus, ending my lifelong dream of studying in the UK and becoming a media person with an international career), cannot take a loan because my degree is not technical (and if your degree is not technical then you don't deserve human decency or a job),

AND YOUR INDUSTRY (MEDIA) IS ANTAGONISTIC AND YOU'RE UNEMPLOYED AND YOU HAVE NO HELP OR SUPPORT FROM ANYWHERE!

(P.S this is a humble request. I know the market in India and abroad is down. The ROI is sus. Media is shit. I have heard demotivating stuff a lot but I am a girl from a semi conservative family with no one to support me. Plus, this has been one of my oldest dreams 🙏🏻. In the past years or two, I have heard so much demotivating shit that I feel like killing myself)

Brief background: 23f, bachelor's in Mass Communication, and want to work as a journalist in international relations.

I applied to the UK (King's College London) to their MA programme in international relations and got accepted. I have applied to Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarship and other (results will come in May). But my hopes aren't high. I can not afford it otherwise.

I have experience in Doordarshan, United Nations (Communication department), and then European Union (Press and Information Section). I planned my previous two experiences from the pov of intersection of media and IR (to get experience in international relations and strengthen my profile). Now, my contract has come to an end, and I am looking for newsroom experiences.

I don't know what is right atp. Should I drop my Master’s plan for a third time or should take a loan? (With not much guarantee)
