[PARTIALLY LOST] Looking for Yankees at Angels game from Aug 2008

I was at a Yankee game in the summer of 2008 and it did air on the YES Network (and I think ESPN or Fox?), and I remember briefly catching a really good glimpse of myself in the crowd. It was one of their road trips, at Anaheim, I believe August 4th or 5th. No it’s not on Youtube or Wayback before anyone asks. I had the game on DVR but I accidentally deleted it. Hope someone can find this series. I really wish there were more full games from nearly 20 years ago on Youtube. Some are up from *before* 2008.

I have tried absolutely everything. I even have the links for the original 2008 Youtube uploads and ran them through the search to find lost YouTube videos and of course there’s absolutely NOTHING in the archives or any YT “resurrection” site. Someone on Fandom apparently has the tape and naturally, he has the “Message Wall” disabled so I can’t send him a DM which really irks me. Boochibabe on YouTube has the opening to that night‘s TGIF broadcast and of course I can’t send her a DM either because they *had* to disable that option too. I know I’ve been posting this a lot but I’m desperate. This is pretty much one of the only pieces of Lost Media that I’m not giving up on.

Before you all jump on me and tell me “then don’t listen then,” I am still going to occasionally, *only* for the behind the scenes memories. But at this point I’d rather read a transcript and I’m glad Apple Podcasts has that option. And there really are some things I do agree with on their end (for instance, I’m gay and support gay rights) but I’m honestly not looking forward to the rest of it. It really annoys me when they (mainly Jodie) get so offended at the tamest “cultural appropriation.” From a show that premiered 39 years ago. The Tokyo episode was a good example and I couldn’t even finish it. In all my time as an adult and being on the Internet/real world, I’ve learned that being a Social Justice Warrior is a major turn-off to a lot of people. I was looking forward to the Disney episodes but if half of it is going to be spent trashing all the Aladdin themed stuff and the Calypso/German dancers, then forget it. It ruins the whole thing for me when there has to be this discussion in every other episode. What is the goal? Why the need to be positively validated and get pats on the back for being so “good?” Most people of these cultures like when Americans represent them in a positive way, also, they don’t care about a sitcom from almost 40 years ago.

So I’m just supposed to completely forget about my grandma performing in this little comedy skit and singing in Italian? I don’t expect anyone to listen to me anyway. If it were me though, I’d be ashamed of myself and probably dial it back a lot.

Edit: FOUND

Before anyone gives me the link to one that’s already up on YouTube, those only have partial bits of the full clips that I‘m looking for, and I wish I knew who made the original compilation. In 2007 I discovered a YouTube channel called PrecipiceProductions who uploaded these rare outtakes from Richard Simmons’ 1980-83 syndicated talk show. One of which involved him getting really frustrated at his mom who kept messing up the lines ”My name is Shirley Simmons and I’M Richard’s mother!” One of my favorite bits was him mockingly going “OH HI, I’M RICHARD’S MOMMY 🤪” and it was hysterical. Another was him trying to read a letter from a fan and kept talking to the director about a crew member being a drug addict and the other one being drunk because nothing was working. I found a link to the Shirley Simmons outtake that was posted on a different website and of course the video has been deleted. But I still have the link to the site. https://dangerousminds.net/comments/aw_shit_shirley_richard_simmons_loses_it_on_his_mom_1981/

I have been desperately trying to find the full outtakes again, and I’m really ticked off that YouTube took away the ability to send private messages to users. Does anyone know how to resurrect broken links? I tried putting it through a thing that would direct me to a “dead YouTube” site but all I got was a screen grab 🤦‍♂️

I know there weren’t as many in the later seasons but some of the ones in season 8 and even season 9 make me laugh because Jaleel is clearly much older and I cant explain why it sounds funnier. There’s one at the beginning of My Big Brother (I think) where Steve was in the office on an upper floor and knocked stuff out the window and it smashed the employee’s car 🤣😆

I think my favorite overall is from The Science Project 🤣 that damn mushroom cloud lol

EDIT: I guess it was on 9/21.

I really hope I’m able to post this. And I’m gonna say it now, it’s not on DVD and it’s most certainly not on streaming. I have desperately been looking for the September 19th 1990 ABC-TV (USA) prime time airings from that evening. I’m mainly looking for the season 2 premiere of Family Matters which had a special Wednesday night hour-long premiere, and it included scenes that only aired once, like a cold open featuring Steve and Eddie, and some other scenes that got cut. I didn’t get a chance to download it off of Youtube way back in 2008 and I’m still pretty ticked off. I’ve already asked on the Lost Media forums and they checked a special server with some original FM broadcasts. Of course this episode isn’t on the list. Again, the full original 1990 premiere is *not* on any streaming or iTunes or whatever. Someone on the Fandom has the tape from that night but I’m unable to contact him directly 😭

This Urkel episode has to be out there somewhere. Someone even found the lost scenes from Full House’s 100th episode that only aired once (and the 2 part “series finale”) 🙄and I already have it -all downloaded to my Google Drive.

Before reading the NoiselessChatter reviews, there was absolutely nothing that mentioned where the tapings actually took place. But then I read (and saw pictures) of the facilities whereabouts. 8660 Hayden Place, in Culver City CA. Was a small studio called Century Studios and I believe they shot the Wonder Years right next door. I think in more recent years they did tapings of Hell’s Kitchen and now the building is for sale. How come most sitcoms have “videotaped at so and so studios in LA” in the end credits?

He had to have an appendectomy, and apparently it was just before the cast was supposed to fly to Orlando to shoot the Disney episodes and they had to postpone it until he made a full recovery (I read this in the newspaper archives that his surgery was the week of February 24th 1995.) And they did the season finale instead. So I’m guessing for that one, Jaleel had just gotten out of the hospital? I’m really curious if anyone knows. I could’ve sworn some newspaper archives said the cast and crew would be at the Disney parks from March 1st to the 10th of 1995 but in the paper talking about Jaleel’s surgery , one of the producers says it’s a 6 day shoot.

He also talks about guest starring on Fresh Prince. And how Will Smith informed Jaleel of this while he was on the FM set. Presumably during a blocking day. So what happened to the FM ep if Jaleel went from his show to the Burbank studio to shoot his FP appearance? Did FP shoot on Thursdays or did Jaleel just pop in for his scene and then leave? lol. Hope someone knows.

I get it …some stuff would not broadcast nowadays … but why do people have to constantly give themselves pats on the back for screaming about how something that’s meant to be funny (and WAS funny when it originally aired), is so ofFeNsiVe? I don’t care how they have stereotypical “Indians” coming into Lucy’s apartment. It just makes me laugh. I also decided to watch the Lucy Show Rain Goddess episode last night and while I lost interest halfway through (as it’s one of the worst TLS episodes), it was still Lucy! Also, the HL episodes where they end up on the sacred land in Utah is kind of awesome. How Miss Ball convinced them to allow the shooting, I will never know, but there were probably tons of production meetings and phone calls and special ceremonies.

I still can’t believe she got away with dressing up as a snaggletoothed Japanese gardener in another TLS episode lol.

I hope I’m not the only one who watches for the entertainment. I have zero time to point out everything bad and take the fun away.

I just was reading about how they wanted him to appear in character as Steve, suspenders and all, which didn’t sit right with him and I don’t blame him. I have seen pictures of J at the event with the Urkel dolls, and some of the celebrities that were there have video clips on YouTube. Wondering if there’s any clips of Jaleel talking about the doll that week. Was the commercial shot right around the same time? At the fair, he’s in front of a red curtain. And in the commercial, he’s also in front of a red curtain.

Slightly off topic but I saw some photos on GettyImages taken around mid-late June 1991, of Jaleel on some sort of movie backlot, in his Steve Urkel attire. I wonder what that was. Pretty sure the date is correct.

https://noiselesschatter.com/alf/ I love these! lol. Some of Phillip’s comments have made me laugh until I couldn’t breathe. Especially when he talks about the picture of Willie on one of the season 3 DVD discs. He reviewed the uncut sets that were released in Germany in 2009-2010 and that was one of the discs in s3.

But, I did see one comment that seemed rather chilling although Phillip wrote it about a decade before it happened—in an episode from season 4, he questions why Brian was barely in the episode and says “the writers probably left Benji Gregory in a hot car.” That caught me way off guard.

Hope others have read these. I wonder if the remaining cast members have come across it. There was one original writer that made a comment in the Movin Out review. Still, that hot car comment though. 😲
