Day 106: Ethel's Birthday

This one HAD to be in color. Those pants I don't even see Lucy wearing so why did she think Ethel wanted to wear them??? She should know as a housewife herself that a toaster would be extremely helpful and it's not like Ethel gets gifts randomly like Lucy does. Normally I don't like when they fight, but it makes me chuckle when Lucy said she had the biggestes Potamus around.

What do you think???

Least favorite story arcs

What story arcs would you be fine if they were never made? Define arc however you want but here are two I can’t stand.

England. This includes the infamous Scotland dream. The fox hunt was boring to me and her forcing her way to meet the queen was ridiculous. I was fine with the other European episodes.

Florida episodes. The only good one wasn’t even set in Florida and Cuba deserved more than one episode. The other two were basically the same episode, just different misadventures on a boat. Wasn’t he supposed to be doing a show? I did like the one with them riding to Florida with the hatchet lady.

My theory about The Operetta and the subsequent club episodes

You'll notice in The Operetta, the other members of the "Wednesday Afternoon Fine Arts League" are considerably older than Lucy and Ethel and we see none of the familiar characters like Carolyn Applebee and Marion Strong. And then after that, we see those two characters and the other members are much closer to Lucy's age. I always like to think that after The Operetta, Lucy was summarily dismissed from the club, and Ethel resigned out of solidarity. Lucy and Ethel then created their own club using the exact the same name and recruited their far more age-appropriate friends to join. I've always found it weird in The Operetta how all the other members look more like they're in Fred's age-group or something, lol.

Tattoo ideas

Hey all Lucy fans!

I am planning on attending the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival for the 3rd year in a row this August in Jamestown, NY. There is a nice tattoo parlor there and I am thinking about a Lucille Ball inspired tattoo. For context, I have a lot of small tattoos already, mostly on both of my forearms. Several of them are in handwriting and are there to serve as memories of people I love or places I've lived. So far, my idea is Lucille Ball's signature, either her full name or just Lucy. This would also be going on my forearm.

What I am asking you guys is if you can help me think of any small tattoo ideas particularly little things that true fans would understand. I am still not 100% sure if my intention is to commemorate Lucy herself or I Love Lucy.

Got any ideas for me?
