I’m having errors in games installed on the internal HDD.

I recently got an Xbox 360 Slim, used a USB exploit to run Aurora, and installed an old WD Blue 250GB as an internal HDD after flashing the firmware so the console would recognize it as official storage.

Everything seemed fine at first, but while playing GTA IV and Episodes from Liberty City, the game randomly crashes during gameplay. Before that, I also got a “disc unreadable” error, and later the console showed E71.

Do you guys think this is more likely related to:

the internal HDD,

NAND/system corruption,

or instability from the exploit itself?

Would it be safer/more stable to just use the HDD externally through USB instead of internally?

I bought an Xbox 360 Slim

I paid 250 BRL (around $45 USD) for this Xbox 360 Slim 4GB. It came with 4 original controllers, 3 working and 1 defective.

After watching a few tutorials, I managed to install Aurora on a USB drive. Luckily, I had an old WD Blue 250GB HDD lying around, so I flashed the firmware to make the Xbox recognize it as an original internal HDD, and everything worked perfectly.

I’m really enjoying the console even though I already own a PS3 Fat with CFW. However, I found the FTP transfer speed extremely slow. On PS3 I’m used to transferring at around 20 MB/s, but on the Xbox I only got about 3 MB/s over Ethernet.

Because of that, I ended up transferring the games to the internal storage using a USB drive instead, which was actually faster. Is there any better or faster way to transfer games without removing the internal HDD from the console?

Putting the PS3 Fat to the test

I decided to test The Last of Us on my CECHK01 and so far it’s doing great. I configured webMAN to keep temps below 65°C and honestly I don’t care about fan noise. I was actually a bit afraid to play this game on it since it has a reputation for being one of the heaviest games on the PS3 lol

This gun is still really fun, even though it gets a bit tiring after a while.

I managed to get a 39001 model fully working, even the disc drive is in perfect condition. Original controller + original memory card.

I installed FMCB to preserve the laser, now I just need to get a network adapter for an internal HDD and play online (yes, you can still play online on PS2)…

Oh, and if anyone is wondering about using a PS4 controller on PS2: it’s a feature in OPL where you plug in a USB 2.0 Bluetooth adapter and sync it with a PS3 or PS4 controller (original ones), and it works perfectly.
