I picked up this ps2 fat today for only $25! everything works but I want to mod this thing. I’ve never modded a console, i’ve never jailbroke anything, and I dont really know computers that well. I’ve watched some “tutorials” but it’s like listening to a rocket science class, I don’t know what they are talking about. I know I need a freemcboot and a usb stick… not much else. So what do I actually need to do step by step to mod this thing? thanks

I managed to get a 39001 model fully working, even the disc drive is in perfect condition. Original controller + original memory card.

I installed FMCB to preserve the laser, now I just need to get a network adapter for an internal HDD and play online (yes, you can still play online on PS2)…

Oh, and if anyone is wondering about using a PS4 controller on PS2: it’s a feature in OPL where you plug in a USB 2.0 Bluetooth adapter and sync it with a PS3 or PS4 controller (original ones), and it works perfectly.

A few months ago, I treated myself to this pendant; I just found it again and I think it belongs here and that some people will enjoy it 💎

I need some information – does anyone know how to adjust the mounting for the entire laser mechanism (the screws on the rubber mounts - photo attached)?

Is my only option to take it to a repair shop, or can I manage it at home using a calliper and a spirit level?

I bought a ps2 slim in silver today for £15 at a car boot sale, got home plugged it in and game it power. Power light came on red, pressed it, it goes green for a second fan spins then fan stops spinning and the light goes back to red.
Anyone know what might be the issue?

Don’t get it, everything works the image isn’t popping, already tried that method to change the video thing with instructions still the same… i ve got a samsung tv if that Makes a difference for whatever, thank you 🙏💪
