(Eastern Pennsylvania)

Purchased this home about one year ago and decided to hire the same small lawn guys the previous owner used. Last year they re seeded the whole yard and now there are tons of yellow straw like patches popping up all over. Yesterday we decided to take matters into our own hands and I pulled up some of the soil in a couple patches and found a decent amount of grubs but it doesn’t seem like a full infestation. There also appears to be any hills scattered around.

I could use any help I can get as this is my first yard to take care of on my own. Can the grubs be the main culprit here or do we have another issue at hand?

Can anyone recommend a game plan to bring this yard back to life?

Hi all! I have had this little silver try for some years now and have never been able to ID the hallmarks as they are somewhat worn and faded. Hallmarks are located on the front side centered along the top. Acquired from an estate on the eastern coast of the U.S.
