Need Guidance About Joining the Bitdefender Partner Program & Bronze Level Requirem

I wanted to ask if anyone here has experience with the partner registration process and could guide me on:

What are the requirements to join the program?

Is there any certification or technical requirement for new partners?

Are there minimum sales targets or yearly commitments?

What targets or conditions are required to maintain the Bronze partner level?

Does Bitdefender require a minimum number of engineers or certifications for Bronze status?

I would really appreciate any advice or shared experiences from existing partners.

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well.

I’m currently looking for a remote opportunity in IT support / network engineering. I have around 3 years of hands-on experience working with different technologies across infrastructure and support environments.

Here’s a quick overview of my skill set:

Networking: Design, deployment, and troubleshooting

Windows Server Administration

Virtualization: VMware

VoIP: 3CX setup, configuration, and troubleshooting

Wireless Networking: Ubiquiti, TP-Link

Linux: Basic server administration tasks

Microsoft 365: Aministration and support

Firewalls: FortiGate

Endpoint Security: Kaspersky EDR

I’ve worked in environments where I handled day-to-day IT operations, troubleshooting issues, and supporting users, along with managing infrastructure components.

I’m open to full-time, part-time, or contract-based remote roles. If you know of any opportunities or think I could be a good fit for your team, I’d really appreciate it if you could reach out or point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance!

▲ 2 r/TpLink

Hey everyone,

I’m running into a weird issue with one of my cameras connected to a TP-Link switch and wanted to get some opinions.

Earlier, I checked the port stats and saw a bunch of bad Rx packets. So I ran a cable test from the switch. The results were a bit confusing — one part shows the cable as “OK,” but another column shows a fault distance.

Now the strange part: after a day, the bad Rx packets completely disappeared on their own. I haven’t touched the cable or made any physical changes. But the cable test results are still the same as before.

So I’m trying to figure out:

What does it mean when the test shows both “OK” and a fault distance?

Could this be a partial cable issue or something else?

Why would the Rx errors go away by themselves?

Everything seems stable right now, but I’m not sure if this is something I should worry about.

Any insights would be appreciated!

Hi everyone,

I recently got admission to TU Ilmenau in the Research in Computer and Systems Engineering program.

I have about 3 years of experience as a Network and System Engineer, and my main goal is to move into Networking + Cybersecurity.

Originally, I planned to move to Germany this year, but due to visa appointment delays, I’ll most likely be joining next year instead.

I also applied to several IT (networking/security) and cybersecurity programs, but I got rejected from all of them. My German GPA is 2.72, which might be the reason.

Now I’m really confused:

- Should I go ahead with TU Ilmenau even though it’s not exactly cybersecurity?

- Or should I wait and reapply next intake to more relevant programs?

Another issue:

- I’m currently working two jobs

- At the same time, I’m doing networking/cybersecurity certifications

I honestly can’t manage everything. So I’m also wondering:

- Should I focus on certifications and technical skills?

- Or pause that and focus on learning German?

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation or is familiar with the German system.

Thanks!
