Hypothetical: Alabama legalizes recreational and medical marijuana under a regulatory framework similar to Oklahoma’s Medical MJ industry. Nothing else about Alabama changes

In this hypothetical, the only change is that Alabama has a constitution which allows citizen initiatives/referendums and its citizens passed a two initiatives: one to legalize recreational (59% to 41%) and the other to legalize medical marijuana (73% to 27 %). These initiatives use Oklahoma’s 2018 medical marijuana referendum as a blueprint. There is a 30 day review period by the Alabama state house and senate, where they can propose modest changes to the new laws but not change the spirit of them. Alabama is still ran by the same people and is still a reliably red state. It’s just that it’s the only state in the Deep South that legalized recreational marijuana.

Was there a permanent Indian population or presence of Indian traders in the empire? How often would you estimate you’d run into an Indian in the eastern provinces and city of Rome?

Why does it seem that coin collectors fall into either collecting modern coins or ancient coins, and not both?

I say this as someone who almost exclusively collect coins prior to 600 AD.

Most modern coin collectors that I’ve met more or less seem uninterested in ancients. Meanwhile, I’m mostly uninterested in anything minted after 1800.

What are the best jobs to supplement my income?

From February 2025 to September 2025 I (31M) was unemployed after being let go from my previous job. ($80k). I was so depressed I didn’t budget appropriately and lived on credit. I ultimately took a lower paying job at $60k and 6 months later landed a hybrid role that was a title bump and $87.5k + performance based Bonus. I really enjoy what I do and don’t get drained, which I am grateful for. I do NOT work on commission

Anyways now I’m sitting on $19,500 of cc debt that I want to pay off quickly. I have no other major debt and $30k in retirement. My credit score tanked and I have a record in collections now.

I live in Chicago and my overhead is manageable ($1570 rent including utilities and internet). I would like to supplement my income doing some part time gig work while I pay off this debt. I don’t have a car, but I do have a bike. I thought about door dashing, but was discouraged from what I’ve heard since I don’t have a car.

What’re some options that are available for me?
