
About 3 years ago I made a post considering double chin lipo and or a lower face lift. I was 5’5 and 160 lbs at the time, very muscular. Almost every comment told me to lose weight instead. So I did. I got to 135 lbs, still quite muscular, I have visible abs, shoulders and back definition, so please don’t tell me to lose weight again. 😭
My double chin persisted. I ended up getting the lipo. It helped a bit but I still have it in photos and videos. Especially bad when I’m talking. And when I touch it the only thing I can pinch is skin. Then it clicked to me that what’s causing it is this muscle there, when I talk or if my tongue touches the roof of my mouth, it bulges. If I smile, it does the same thing alongside these neck muscles. The pictures are just the difference it makes when I engage this muscle.
I guess my question is, can I Botox this? Would it affect my swallowing? I have no idea what caused it, I did some research and some people said it happens to people who grow up breathing through their mouth during sleep instead of their nose. I’m going to try mouth taping anyways. But hopefully to see if anyone has experience with this or if this post can provide some different angles for people who are struggling with their double chin.
