Ankle bell for blind dog/any tips welcome
Hi everyone so I got a lil 4.5 year old blind batpigshark (blind early due to PRA) and obviously he bumps into stuff sometimes, generally fine, but he bumps into me a LOT. I understand he wants to be close to me, plus velcro staffy does not believe in personal space lmao. However unfortunately he's the *PERFECT* height to hit me RIGHT in the back of my knees, and if I am having a fibro flare up this can be very painful/make me fall. Someone told one way to help is to wear a bell around your ankle so they can know where you are. I tried to get an anklet online which made almost no sound so that was greatly unhelpful. Wondering if anyone has experience with this or a suggestion for some kind of anklet that is louder. Bonus points if it's cute lol.
Also just any tips or tricks you might have for blind dogs! I would love to know any helpful 'hacks'. Since he's so young and has a thick lil skull he is so bouncy and doesn't seem to care when he bonks his head on stuff. He's fine around the house but he's been known to try and run full speed ahead into a bike rack. We recently got a different harness for better control but would love any other gear ideas, training tips, etc!
