How does dragging a blade in the ground in a single line help with ground preparation if you aren't moving a lot of dirt? Does it make it easier for an excavator to remove dirt?

It can't just be that Bloomington has Illinois Wesleyan University since Bradley University is a much bigger college. Is it that Bloomington in on I-55 and thus traffic from the huge metropolitan areas of Chicago and St. Louis, where there are more ethnically diverse people that would actually patronize ethnic restaurants, passes through Bloomington instead of Peoria?
