World Cup Ticket Prices from Only Soccer Tickets Data

We are seeing a big falloff in the average ticket price in our data. And we expect this to continue. Our guess for group stage matches is that ticket prices are probably going to fall another 20-30% by match day. And fall even further for non-big matches. I think it will be very easy to grab tickets for less than $100 on the secondary market for at least half the matches. This won't be the case for the US matches, however. But, with hotel costs coming down, this has turned into a big "pays to wait" World Cup.

And we definitely don't feel this way for the knockouts. Knockout prices will likely remain pretty high.

And I think there is a good chance the final at the current get-in of around 10k will be a steal by the time the match starts. US fans and tech oligarchs will show up to watch a World Cup of Messi vs Mbappe or Mbappe vs Yamal. I could see get-in prices moving even up to 15k by match day for the final if those matchups happen. And whatever the match-up ends up, the get-in will likely be higher than any previous Super Bowl.
