I'm scratching it and can hardly feel anything. What would cause this apart from a stroke

It all started about two months ago. I was waiting on someone paying me back the £200 they owed me so I could buy some dihydrocodeine. I use it regularly for pain but in this instance I wanted to get high. Well, they never paid me back and in this time I was just waiting and waiting. Finally a few weeks ago I had enough money to buy the codeine.

At the time I was on meds that blocked dopamine, and so it didn't work. I took it every day for a week however because I had dental pain. In the same time period I stopped taking the meds (for other reasons), stopped taking the codeine, waited a week, then took 180 mg dihydrocodeine. It did nothing.

I waited another three days, till today, and took 180 mg for relief of discomfort while I quit nicotine. It has eased my discomfort but I'm not feeling a high. Does anyone have any idea of how long I have to wait till it works again ?

But my main question is, if I buy some oxycodone, will that work ? Or will it still have no effect because I have opiate tolerance ?

I feel so frustrated it's as if the universe has decided I am not allowed to feel high anymore ! (I do for the most part take opiates for pain relief but I enjoyed the euphoria as a side effect)

I use it for sleep. I used to get diazepam and that did have recreational effects but I haven't seen it in Xanax even at 3 mg after a break. I keep seeing people posting about it online like it's amazing. All it does for me is it's intended purpose, anti- anxiety and sedative. Am I missing something ?
