Just picked up this 87’ burro from a couple in San Luis Obispo, CA. Frame does have some rust, and there are a few spider cracks on the shell but I figured it would be a good project to work on. Everything works as it should except the fridge, owner said it needs to be serviced.
Fired up the grill and made some picanha and mashed potatoes. Unfortunately I left the picanha a little too long for my liking. Still came out really juicy. I used Kinders chimichurri seasoning and some compound butter I made the other day.
First time doing backsplash. Took me over 30 hours. Grout helped fill in some imperfections. I don’t have a picture but I already sealed it and used caulk along the bottom.
Made some garlic habanero compound butter. Cooked the steak like I normally do but right before I took it off the grill I smothered on the butter and cooked it one additional minutes on each side. The heat is perfect.
After years of checking FB Marketplace finally found one near by. Owner was moving out of state and bought it brand new, Got it for $85 came with a charcoal chimney and a few other accessories. Also has the original owners guides. It does have some rust and is missing the tank. I plan on restoring as much as I can. Not sure where I’m gonna get the bottom rack.
