I need some information – does anyone know how to adjust the mounting for the entire laser mechanism (the screws on the rubber mounts - photo attached)?
Is my only option to take it to a repair shop, or can I manage it at home using a calliper and a spirit level?

Hello everyone.
I got hold of my cousin’s PlayStation 2 Slim 75004, which he had cleaned. After the whole process, the console stopped reading discs. He gave it to me so I could check what had gone wrong.
Unfortunately, he had tightened the screws on the rubber guides all the way down, meaning the laser can no longer read discs.
Does anyone know a ‘magic’ way to adjust them at home, or the only option is to send it for repair?
Would I be able to do this using a spirit level? If so - how?
The laser is working properly; fortunately, there are no broken solder joints on the circuit boards, and the laser returns to the 0 state when I tap it with my finger. Also once the tray lock mechanism is engaged, I can see that the laser emits a clear red beam.
