Genuine question following my recent post and the rather entertaining inbox activity.
Do people actually read the full post before sending a message, or do they simply read the headline and proceed with admirable confidence?
PLEASE NOTE: I AM A "M" WHICH MEANS MALE.
Because my current theory is that many people saw “30 year-old CMO looking for a meaningful relationship”…and thought "Right then, that seems like sufficient information.
Strong impressions? Absolutely.
Excellent engagement? Without question.
Qualified leads? Still being assessed.
But on a more serious note, is it fair to those who are genuinely looking for something meaningful and sincere if messages are sent without actually reading what the other person has taken the time to write?
So I’m curious..
When you message someone after reading a post like that, do you:
A) Read the whole thing properly?
B) Skim the key points?
C) Read the title and let fate take the wheel?
No judgement. (Well, perhaps a tiny bit.)
I’m genuinely interested to know whether people connect with the substance of a post, or whether the headline does all the heavy lifting.
