First ever attempt at photographing the Andromeda Galaxy (M31)

Hi. This is my first time photographing M31, or any deep sky object and I'm incredibly happy with the results.

It was also the first test of my SWSA GTi. I was pleasantly surprised after seeing pin-point sharp stars at 380mm 60s and I think I could've gone for 500mm but I only had about an hour of dark sky so I didn't want to risk it.

Camera: Nikon Z8
Lens: Nikkkor 180-600
Tracking: SWSA GTi

Aperature: f6
Focal length: 380mm
Exposure: 40 x 60s
ISO: 800
Bortle 4

40 biases, 40 flats, 20 darks.

Stacking and postprocessing: Siril, GIMP.

I pretty much followed one tutorial from YT as I never used Siril before.

After that, I did some small tweaks in Photoshop.

Western Yellow Wagtail (Motacilla flava).

This fella kept flying from one branch to another in the same sequence, giving me three chances to capture it in action before it took off completely.

SWSA GTi - is it okay to use a ball head between the mount and the camera for a lightweight-ish setup?

Hi, as in the title, I was wondering if it's ok for the mount to put a ball head on top of it just to shoot the Milky Way with a wide angle lens. Simply for the purpose of framing and leveling horizon/foreground.
