I challenged myself to learn parametric 3d modelling and design something customisable that I would actually use. My partner is going through a houseplant phase (or at least more than usual!) so I designed this for her and am sharing for free in case it brightens your day😊

If you have a 3d printer (or a friend with one) then this is a super easy thing to print, with each colour (of your choice) printing separately, so no need for fancy equipment. The coloured rings just slip onto the pots.

There's even a customisable version where you can choose the heights, diameters, and angles yourself.

So a couple of weeks ago I thought I'd try and learn how to parametric modelling to push myself a bit and distract me whilst I waited for a printer delivery.

Lucky me - it turns out that the new makerworld competition is about customisable models just as I finish my first one!
