Roma mirası ve onun için verilen mücadeleye odaklanan bir belgesel video serisi başlatıyoruz.
Araştırmalarımızın hiçbir aşamasında Wikipedia'daki içeriklere bakmadık ve yapay zeka araçlarını kullanmadık. Doğrudan akademik kaynaklardan çalıştık.
Görsellerin büyük kısmı bu yapım için oluşturduğumuz karakalem çizimlerdir.
Haritaları da titizlikle oluşturmaya gayret ettik. Bu alanda özellikle Bizantinist John Haldon'un çalışmalarını temel aldık.
Kullandığımız her bilginin kaynağını videonun sol alt köşesinde belirttik.
İlk bölümde, Oğuzların gelişinden önce Anadolu'nun, Balkanların ve Kafkasya'nın siyasi, dinsel ve sosyal durumunu işledik.

I am creating a documentary/video series about the history, politics, culture, and wars of the Eastern Roman / Byzantine Empire and the Seljuk State. I do not use Wikipedia or AI tools at any stage of the process. All drawings and research are entirely human-made.
To make the videos accessible in Central Asian countries, I am looking for volunteers who can help translate Turkish subtitles into Turkic languages.

I’ve recently started publishing a historical documentary series made with charcoal drawings and historical maps.

The series focuses on the Eastern Roman / Byzantine Empire and the Sultanate of Rum / the Seljuks, their wars, politics, culture, and the changing landscape of medieval Anatolia.

The maps are prepared with great care, and much of the research is based on the work of Byzantine historian John Haldon and other academic studies. We work directly from scholarly material rather than Wikipedia summaries.

No AI tools are used in the production process. The drawings, maps, and visual compositions are all created by hand for this series.

Whenever a source is mentioned in the documentary, its reference appears on-screen in the lower left corner.

I also share sketch pages and preliminary charcoal studies from each episode in the community section for anyone interested in the making process.

While drawing it, I used Arne Emil Christensen’s sketches from the Norsk Maritimt Museum as a reference. I am not an archaeologist; I am trying to understand the craftsmanship and engineering logic of people from the past. No AI, hand-drawn.

I made a hand-drawn charcoal reconstruction of the Viking shipbuilding process, from timber selection and cutting in the forest to the assembly of the hull using the clinker technique. The full visual study consists of 30 drawings. I have shared a few of them here. No AI was used in this work. Every drawing was made by hand.
