I 22M been seeing this girl named Emily 24F ( fake name ) for about a month and a half, we haven't been to each others places yet, just walking around the park dates and movie dates, despite that we've gotten very close in such a short amount of time, i like her a lot and she seems to like me as well. A few days ago she invited me over to her house to maybe watch a movie and dinner, i agreed and we set a date and time.

When the day came as i was pulling up to her neighborhood she texted me that she might be a couple more hours at her job. I asked if she wanted to cancel and reschedule the date but she insisted that it was fine and that i should just let myself in and wait for her if i wanted to. I thought it was a bit weird to enter her home by myself without her there but she insisted that it was fine. There was no parking near her house so i had to park 5 minutes away and walk. I made my way to her house and looked for her hidden key she told me about, i found it under a flower pot opened the door and nervously let myself in.

I texted her that i had entered the house and asked when will she be ending her shift at work. "30 minutes to an hour" she replied. I awkwardly walked around her living room and sat in her sofa and looked at my phone. About 5 minutes had passed and i realized i had to go to the bathroom. I stood up and looked for a bathroom for about a minute opening doors but all where locked except for maybe a small closet or two and what i assumed was her bedroom. Finally i found the bathroom and thanked God that it was just a pee. As i cleaned my hands i heard the sound of the front door open, thinking it was Emily i thought i would scare her by hiding under her bed. I don't know why the hell i thought it would be a good idea, it was a spur of the moment thing. I quietly sprinted to the bedroom opposite the bathroom i saw before and knew was unlocked, I hid under her bed and waited for her to come. As i was gonna abandon the plan and crawl out from under the bed thinking it was a stupid idea to begin with i heard a female voice i didn't recognize. I didn't know if she was a roommate Emily didn't tell me about or if i accidentally went into the wrong house.

I stayed there for what must have been at least 5 or 10 minutes. The strange woman hadn't gone to the room yet, just stayed near the living room and kitchen area, and about once to the bathroom. As i began to panic over what i should do and how to explain myself i heard the door open and Emily's voice saying she was home. About a minute later both women slowly approach the bedroom and look under the bed and see my scared panicked face. The strange woman began to scream and Emily started laughing. She explained to her roommate, that she had never mentioned to me, Jess ( again fake name ), that i was the guy she told her she was going out with and what i was doing under Jess' bed.

Turns out Emily is bit of an extreme prankster. Jess had told Emily that she was a big fan of the Netflix show You, and that she would forgive a man for stalking her if he was attractive and romantic enough, Emily told her that "No she wouldn't, no one sane would ever do that". And to prove her wrong she intentionally locked all the doors except the bathroom and Jess' room before they both left for work that morning, and stayed longer at her job so i would arrive earlier than both of them and knowing that i liked giving her cute stupid jump scares some times that i would do something stupid like that. Turns out Jess saw my figure under her bed when she went to the bathroom earlier, thinking i was stalker or a burglar she stayed in the living room until Emily arrived so they could enter the room together and "take me down". After a minutes Jess and i calmed down from our shock and Emily said her apologies to both of us and to me for not just asking me if would help her with the prank. We did ended up making dinner and watching a movie, Emily, Me and even Jess joined in, we laughed about the whole situation and forgave Emily

TL;DR I fucked by trying to scare my girlfriend and ended up scaring her roommate
