I was trying to study on the third floor of Northside Pollak Library yesterday, which is supposed to be a quiet study floor, when a man in his 50s or 60s came in and started disrupting everyone. He was yelling curse words, and when he wasn’t yelling, he was loudly mumbling to himself. He appeared to be experiencing homelessness, as he was trying to charge all of his electronics at once using the library outlets and kept saying, "I have to stay here tonight."

I would have just moved to another floor, but I have ADHD and any noise is really distracting for me; plus, the quiet floor on the Southside closes at 10:00 p.m. I went down and spoke to the circulation desk, and they called non-emergency public safety, but they never showed up. I’m sure this man is a regular because as soon as it turned 10:00 p.m., he knew to pack up and leave since it is "students only" after that time.

I know Pollak is a public library and I understand the homeless situation, but I wish the City of Fullerton provided more services to them, and I wish Campus Safety could actually do something about disruptions like this. I pay for college out of pocket and I would like to study in peace, at the very least. Is this just the cost of doing business when attending a public university?

I'm in the Pollak library right now and I'm connected to eduroam and it's working great on every website but it won't let me get to the login page via student portal. I've tried clearing my browser cache, using a different browser, restarting my laptop, forgetting eduroam/reconnecting, and clearing my DNS. Only thing that works is hotspotting from my phone. Has anyone else had this issue and know of a fix?

I didn’t have a better place to ask this question, I’m hoping someone here will be able to shed some insight. I purchased tickets for the Worldcup and it states I am in “block” 200 row 20. When I check the SoFi stadium seating chart below it is called “section” 200 is there any difference? Does the link below show the correct view I will have? (Row 16 was the closest thing to row 20 on the website)

I bought tickets to the 2026 WorldCup via Capital One entertainment in February, 2025. When I purchased the tickets they didn’t have a seat number, just a category number. I paid $1150 each ticket for Category 1 seats.

Today I got my tickets transferred to me and I am really upset about the assigned seats. The game is at SoFi stadium on June 18th (Switzerland vs Bosnia & Herzegovina) and my seats are Section 200 Row 20. According to my research these tickets should be around $700-$800 each. I believe I overpaid or Capital One didn’t give me the seats I paid for. This was my first time purchasing tickets for a sporting event. Do I have any options or am I SOL?
