AITJ for leaving early after my friend was late… again?

So this has been building up for a while

One of my bff is late all the time, like not just 5-10 minutes, more like 30-45 almost litterally everytime

You know because it's your friend, you tolerate this at the beginning, not thinking it will become a habit, so I didn’t really care, stuff happens. but it’s been like this every single time for months now

yesterday we were supposed to meet for a drink at 6. I got there on time, waited… nothing

around 6:20 I texted her, no reply
6:35 she texts “omw”

at that point I was already kinda annoyed but I stayed a bit longer

by 6:50 she still wasn’t there, so I just left. I didn’t text anything, just went home

she finally messaged me at like 7:05 saying she’s there and asking where I am

I told her I left because I’d been waiting almost an hour

now she’s upset saying I could’ve just waited a bit more since she was basically there and that I made her come all the way for nothing

I get that maybe I should’ve sent a message before leaving, but at the same time this keeps happening and I’m kinda over it

now she’s acting like like I am drama queen

TL;DR Friend is always really late, I waited almost an hour and left without telling her. Now she’s mad. Am I the jerk?

AITJ for not paying for my friend’s meal after she invited extra people?

So this happened Saturday night and now it’s kinda awkward

My friend asked if I wanted to grab dinner, nothing fancy just a normal place. I said yeah thinking it would just be us two

When I got there she had already invited two other people I don’t really know. not a huge deal but I wasn’t expecting that at all

we all ordered, and she ended up ordering a lot more than I did. like drinks, sides, dessert, the whole thing

when the bill came she was like “let’s just split it evenly” without really asking

I said I’d rather just pay for what I got because mine was way less. she kinda gave me that look ... You know that look your friend gives you to make you feel like you're annoying everyone, and you're just besically giving a hard time for nothing, and she said it’s easier if we just split it

the other two didn’t say much but you could tell it got a bit awkward

I still said I’d just cover my part and left it at that. I paid what I ordered plus a bit extra for tip

afterwards she texted me saying I made things uncomfortable and that when you go out in a group you should just split it

I get that splitting is common, but I also didn’t agree to a group dinner in the first place and didn’t order nearly as much

now I’m wondering if I should’ve just gone along with it to avoid the whole situation

TL;DR: Friend invited extra people to dinner without telling me, then wanted to split the bill evenly even though I ordered way less. I refused and paid only my part, now she’s mad. Am I the jerk?

AITJ for throwing away food that was left in the office fridge too long?

So at work we have a shared fridge and it gets pretty messy if no one keeps an eye on it.

A few weeks ago it got really bad, like old stuff, things leaking, weird smell every time you open it. No one was really doing anything about it.

Our manager mentioned we should clean it out more often, so last Friday before leaving I decided to just clear out the obviously old stuff.

There were a few food boxes that had been sitting ther all week (like 4–5 days), no names on them or anything. Some of it honestly didn’t look great at all, like it wasn't only the smell anymore, it was really visible, you could tell they were nasty.

So I threw them out and I didn’t think much of it, I just thought that somebody will eventually do it in the next few days, so I might as well do it now.

Then Monday comes and my coworker came in asking where her food was. Turns out one of the boxes I threw away was her. She turned red in the office and said she was planning to eat it.

I told her it had been there for days with no name and it looked really bad anyway. Apparently, I have no right to touch other people’s food and that I should’ve asked first.

Now she’s really ice cold with me and the other colleagues said I should’ve just left it.

I get that it wasnt mine, but at the same time the fridge was getting worse everyday.

TL;DR: Office fridge was full of old unlabeled food so I threw out stuff that had been there for days. One coworker got mad because I threw away hers. Am I the jerk?

AITJ for not waking up my roommate for her job interview after she told me to?

I live with my roommate. She had a super important job interview this morning at 9am and yesterday she asked me if I could make sure she wakes up because she really bad with alarms.

I said sure but also told her she should set multiple alarms just in case. She laughed and said she would.

This morning, I went to her room around 7:30 AM, woke her up, as she had eyes barely oepened, she told me she's fine she had more than enough time. Then later on I hear her alarms going off… like 3 times.

She turned them off every time and went back to sleep. I was already up getting ready for work and I thought about waking her another time, but honestly I felt like it wasn’t my responsibility to babysit her, especially since she’s an adult and this was important for HER.

So I just left.

Around 10:30 she started blowing up my phone asking why I didn’t wake her up and saying she missed the interview completely. Now she’s sayin I “sabotaged her” and that I agreed to help.

I get that I said I would, but at the same time she literaly woke up many times and chose to go back to sleep. I didn’t think I needed to step in like her parent or something.

Now she’s barely talking to me and she's running around telling our mutual friends I screwed her over.

TL;DR: My roommate asked me to make sure she woke up for an important interview, but when her alarms went off and she kept going back to sleep, I didn’t step in. She missed it and now says I sabotaged her - AITJ?
