Trying to take my writing more seriously
Hi everyone,
I've been writing as a hobby for almost twenty years, and for the last two years, I've managed to organize my life to have the time and, most importantly, the mental space to take my writing more "seriously." So, last month I organized some texts I had and put together my first book. I self-published it through a publisher in Brazil (I'm Brazilian), and I also created an ebook in Portuguese and another in English and put them on Amazon. I did all this myself (me and the artificial intelligence, of course).
I already have a second book practically ready to publish and I have material for at least ten more.
Some questions: I intend to publish a book every 3 months, but I can only publish one per month, or one every 2 months. In your experience, is it better to publish as much as possible or to maintain a space between publications?
Also, do you recommend any platforms for promotion? I already have Medium, Substack, and Wattpad, where I publish some individual texts and try to promote the book in some way.
Thank you for your attention and good luck to us all.
