Running Meta ads for a Restaurant SaaS software… reach is super low. Is this normal?

Hey folks,

I recently started running Meta ads for a POS system that’s specifically meant for restaurant owners. But honestly, the reach feels really low and I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if this is normal for such a niche.

Right now the campaign is at:
• $10/day budget
• CPM around $16
• Reach ~295 people
• Impressions ~355

This is a lead generation campaign targeting restaurant owners / restaurant business interests.

I expected Meta to find way more people in this space, so seeing the reach this low is making me second-guess my setup 😅

Has anyone here run ads for POS / SaaS / restaurant marketing before?

I’d love to know:
– Is this normal for B2B restaurant targeting?
– Am I making my audience too narrow?
– Should I go broader and let the algorithm figure it out?
– Would it make sense to run traffic or engagement ads first before lead gen?

Any insights or experiences would really help. Thanks! 🙌

FB/IG Ads for Restaurant POS – Reach is extremely low. What am I doing wrong?

Hey everyone,

I’m running Meta ads for a POS system specifically targeting restaurant owners and restaurant businesses, and the reach seems very low compared to what I expected.

Here are the current numbers from the campaign screenshot:

  • Daily budget: $10
  • CPM: around $16
  • Reach: ~295
  • Impressions: ~355

This is a lead generation campaign targeting restaurant owners.

My concern: the reach feels extremely limited for this niche. I expected Meta to find more people in this industry.

Has anyone here run ads for:
• POS systems
• SaaS for restaurants
• B2B targeting restaurant owners

Questions:

  1. Is this reach normal for such a niche audience?
  2. Is the audience too narrow? (job titles/interests like restaurant owner, restaurant manager, etc.)
  3. Should I switch to broader targeting and let the algorithm learn?
  4. Would a traffic or engagement campaign work better before lead gen?
