Flat Or V Shaped Frequency response?

What do audiophiles prefer for music with headphones? I know most casual listeners prefer V for nice juicy bass and high end sizzle for the cymbals. But I’d always think flat would be more of the producers/musicians vision for how the music is supposed to sound.

What do experienced listeners think?

DT 770 Pro X or DR 700 Pro x

I know this has been asked a lot on this sub, I just can't seem to decide even after reading some threads.

I need them for both recording and mixing but I also do a lot of gaming (maybe 75% gaming and 25% mixing and recording, though I just graduated with a music degree and will have more time for my music so id like to be doing a lot more of that now that I have time), I've been seeing that the 700 is more neutral and therefore better for mixing but I have also seen some reviews regarding a bad headband (which according to some has been fixed??) and a narrow sound space, which i am not sure I'll love. On the other hand the 770 is a classic and doesnt have this problem but has a more colored sound which might mess with my mixing.

To add, I am really into listening to music how the producer intended which is what is pulling more towards the 700 but again the narrow sound space worries me. Any one have any reccomendations?

I downloaded it last night and ran a pixel refresh. It definitely is slightly better, but don’t expect miracles, I still having banding and dse. Since the issue stems from manufacturing errors it’s hard to remedy with firmware alone, but I’m glad to see ASUS is attempting to mitigate the problem as much as possible through firmware
