How tf do I achieve such a tone
Even the big yahu is impressed by meshuggahs bass tone. Included 2 samples.
Basically, im thinking about buying a bass to actually record songs by myself fully without backing tracks. Current gear: whole neural library being fed live into a 4x12 cab(so no cab sim for me) or if I REALLY need to headphones also.
Anyways, how can I achieve such a bass tone? I heard of people eqing before amps, eqing after, gain staging, overdrive, all those different cool special words. It is such a big rabbit hole ans sounds so confusing eith all these different techniques and alllthat. I know basically nothing of all that, all I do is just plug my 8 string into the nameless, crank the gain and it sounds good enough(while we're at it how do I get a good djent-y guitar tone)? I played for like 10 years but always just on random amps and gear my dad had laying around and I ALWAYS sounded like shit. How do I even start to shape and form my tone?
