Need help with acne (red/purpleish) on the middle cheek
Hi guys, I'm posting this thread to ask for help, or any kind of information would be useful for my case.
Background: 18 female. I never struggled with acne before but after moving to a new country (NL, I used to live in a humid country), I started getting very bad breakouts and it would keep recurring at a certain place on my face (see pic). This problem has persisted for 6 months until now. I don't get acne anywhere else but only in these areas. And I notice that now my skin gets very sensitive around the middle cheek, and it looks very reddish/purpleish and inflamed.
Diet: I eat a very balanced diet with limited sugar and dairy intake so I don't think this would be a problem
Skincare: I've tried theinkeylist 10% azelaic acid and 5% benzoyl peroxide before, but nothing has helped. I also tried to repair my skin barrier but it doesn't do much to these acne marks and my skin in general.
My current routine: cleanser -> skin1004 centella probio-cica essence -> 345 moisturizer/ cerave moisturizer -> sunscreen (la roche posay/ dr. g physical sunscreen)
I'm very insecure about this and my self-esteem and confidence have dropped a lot ever since. If you know anything or have any advice, please let me know. I would really appreciate any help. Thank you<3
