Impurity in the face; a thickening deep beneath the skin that can be felt with the fingers

Impurity in the face; a thickening deep beneath the skin that can be felt with the fingers

In the middle of the picture, on my skin, you can see a red spot. There is something under the skin which is thickened. I got this for more than 10 years already. I was at a clinic and they told me it has to be operated to get rid of it... I don't want to. Is there any chance to solve this skin issue?

maybe any idea where this comes from? I got a second one close to it, though it is not as clearly visible.

Any tips/experiences highly appreciated :-)

Chill blain caused nail to yellow and thicken temporarily

Chill blain caused nail to yellow and thicken temporarily

A few months ago, I experienced throbbing pain at the outer base of my toenail. No trauma. It happened at night and the pain was substantial. There was erythema

/redness and it was sore to touch. It resolved after a couple days. Following that episode, my nail changed colour and thickened. As it's grown out, the thickened section is lifted from the remaining nail and my nail appears to be growing back as normal.

I'm wondering what the cause is? Can Chill blains change the nail? Or is it possible it wasn't a chill blain but something else?

HELP, Paradoxical hypertrichosis? I've gotten hair laser removal for my body and I can't tell if this is normal!

Hello, hope everyone's doing well!

I've gotten laser hair removal (around 3 sessions) for my full body, and in some areas (buttocks, upper arms etc) I've noticed a few scattered dark hairs, I don't know if it's normal or not. (Attaching photos, #1 is before laser #2 is after laser of my upper arm area zoomed in)

Help IDing face irritation, flaky and dry but not itchy

I’ve had this issue for like a month and its not going away. Please help me identify what could be irritating my skin so much. The irritation itself isn’t necessarily itchy, sometimes it feels dry and aquaphor relieves this. I also think it looks more flaky in person than in the photo.

My skincare routine for the past 7 months or so has been the same: wash my face at night with cetaphil gentle cleanser, niacinamide serum (The Ordinary) on the acne prone parts of my face, every other day tretinoin on my acne prone spots, and finally cerave daily moisturizer. In the morning I rinse my face with warm water, moisturize and SPF. I successfully cleared my acne with this routine but now I am dealing with this.

I’ve stopped using the serum (about a week ago) and tretinoin (only a few days ago) but it doesn’t seem to be clearing up yet. My other guess was maybe my boyfriend’s mustache is irritating my skin? Please help!! Thank you!!

Mole shot out foreign corpse after manipulation, what could this be?

Sorry the medical terms are probably bad, english is not my forst language.

I have a mole in my back that has been here since I'm young. I did a cancer screening a few months prior, and nothing was deemed necessary on my body (I have a LOT of moles)

Recently (1 week), this one on my back has been a bit bothering me, being stingy at times when touching a surface (a.k.a sitting against a chair). Today, I manipulated it a bit too much, and it sort of busted. What is left is a mole that bled a lot but stabilized very quickly, is half the size it was before, no more pain when in contact with objects, and this little guy that.

Knowing that I also seem to have two hairs growing on this mole, what the hell is this?

I already took a meeting with a dermatologist, and I secured the foreign object in-between two sheets of toilet paper, in a box, and to my fridge.

Photo 1&2 is the foreign object, 3 is aftermath, 4 is beforehand

I’m over a week post-op for phenol toenail removal, is this infected?

I got two toenails removed with phenol a little over a week ago, but one is looking like it may be infected. My left toe barely has pain and hasn’t been swollen but the right one is extremely painful, swollen and feels very pressure-filled. I have a follow up in a couple days, but I don’t know if I should wait till then.

Strange bumps appearing across the body, and itching alot

Strange bumps appearing across the body, and itching alot

in February I noticed a few of these bumps appearing across my body and since then they have spread and gotten worse like this on my hand.

I started seeing someone new around then who didn't have them but in recent weeks has developed small similar spots but not as aggressively and in a more individualar way rather than grouped like in the photo.

It itches badly and I am not quite sure what to do.

In terms of it potentially being scabies, there are no signs of tunnelling or things in-between toes or fingers.

Have no idea what it could be, any help is much appreciated!!!

i noticed these tiny red dots today, what are they?

i noticed these tiny red dots today, what are they?

i have a bunch of unknown bug bites on my legs that i’ve been scratching, including a couple bites under the back of my knee (area in the image). also currently i have a small scalp infection that resulted in swollen lymph nodes, i don’t really think that has anything to do with this but i’m mentioning it just in case!

anyways, i’m assuming this is from scratching the area? i’m just a little worried because i’ve always gotten bug bites and always scratched them but i’ve never seen something like this. i’ve tried googling but i can’t really find an image that looks like this, maybe i’m not using the right words lol

if it’s nothing to worry about, is there anything i can do to make it go away? (not scratching it, i assume)

I went to Miami and UV was 10 everyday. I have never gotten this before. My wounds are now dry but I have dark spots everywhere. Can this be sun rash? What should I apply?

I wanted to get some answers of my question . Should I consult a dermatologist or I am doing fine

actually six months ago i started doing treatment for my pigmentation (3 year old ) . my Combo was this at that time .

morning:

facewash ( derma co 1 percent Kojic acid facewash) .

Moisturezer ( deconstruct 5 percent niacinamide and 1 percent alpha arubtuin)

sunscreen ( minimalist sunscreen spf 50 ) .

night

Facewash/ Wash my face with just water

Azidern Azelaic acid 15 percent

and my deconstruct moisturizer.

i follow this routine for 2 months and in December 20 i added 2 percent alpha arubtuin serum as well . which I use After facewash and before moisturizer at morning.

As of December I have few observations.

first when I wash my face it became very fair for few minutes (10 mintues) not just glow but it's sem like my pigment got lighter. Before that it's look like dull but after facewash it becomes very fair for first few minutes and then it returns to little dull . and as of January my face becomes very fair for 30 minutes after facewash after that it becomes a little darker. i noticed one thing ( my face just became very dry if I not apply moisturizer for 30 minutes so I change my moisturizer and facewash at January 19 due to this reason.

from the January 19 i use Cetaphil gentle cleanser and reequil moisturizer

observations: when I first apply this cleanser my skin look a lot dull as compared to what i see with my derma facewash . and it's feel a little fleeshery as well . i wash this combo along with my old skincare for 1 month and change my facewash and moistrizer thinking that my old facewash is not strong enough to remove the old film and product left out that makes my skin dsrker. and for moisturizer i realised that my skin is oily or combination not dry . so I change the moistrizer as well .

from February 19 i change two products and start using this instead one is dot and key super bright facewash and sunscreen. but the Facewash doesn't give me the glow like my old derma facewash. so eventually I also changed it and came back to my old facewash.

but since last 5 days I am using my old facewash but still I am not getting the old glow or fairness which I saw 2 months before i don't why . and should I consult a dermatologist or not . I may attach image of all the product with ingredients that I use till now .

my concern was that is i am doing something worng?

and why I am not seeing a good result yet. it's already been six months

and how long does it take to see results.

should I consult a dermatologist for that.
