are cramps NOT like stomachaches?

whenever asked what periods and cramps are like i alwyas make sure to say that everyone can be a little different with symptoms and severity of pain and back pain and nausea all that but for the cramps themselves and if a guy asks me personally what it is it like for me the first thought that comes to mind rlly is a stomach ache in the lower abdomen. that is what it felt like when i got my first period i cant describe it any better. i always get an upset stomach when i drink soy milk so i could test it first hand. I dont have debilitating cramps but im not lucky enough to have those 5 days low-no pain periods yk, i would sitll have to forcefully hunch over and barely wanna move due to pain and bloating and thats what it's like for my stomach aches/stomach bug/stomach flu too i keel over with them. i was always scared to say that out loud bc online i would see guys get ridiculed for comparing it to stomach aches so yeah

is it not like that for yall?

My boyfriend didn't know what a period was

he's a grown 18 almost 19 year old and I'm his first gf so I'll cut him some slack but in the second week of dating i decided to ask him what he knew about periods and he said "I just thought it was a mood swing." for the past decade of his life. he has an older sister. idk im just a little shocked rn. 😭😭

he also didn't know what a c section was like never heard of the existence of one and was mortified "they cut open your stomachs AHHHH"

he said he had sex ed at school but he never paid attention bc he thought it was weird

idk what to do in general, ofc he is willing to listen if i tell him but i dont know if he'll learn stuff like this on his own. is it strange for the most of opposite gender to not do this? ig we cant even blame him for not naturally having interest in this right???
Edit: okay I've just now explained what discharge and periods are to him and we both tried to look up stuff about morning wood bc he was confused about that too regarding his own anatomy. he said he's gonna try to check out books on pregnancy from the library. pls help us out brainstorming is there anything else about girls that he should know about???

mightve been a flash game and mightve played it at school on a computer but i forgot the educational purpose of it (lol)

i just remember you would be serving people stuff and there would be sections on the plate/tray and a drink i the thing i remember most was there would bee the tall glass cup and the option would be like grape juice (i always chose that) and then a glop of other food
