Title...

I've been diving deep into The Misfits' catalog for the first time lately. I love live albums, and am stoked on the performances captured on Evilive, but wow does it sound like shit.

Did the original 7 inch sound this bad as well? Or did it happen when the tapes were digitized? The sound of Evilive reminds me a lot of the live track Jawbreaker had on one of the Rock Against Bush CDs. Also a great performance, but sounds terrible.

Would it be worth my time to track down one of the old LPs or a boot of the original 7 inch? Or will it not sound any better?

I have a roommate who is my friend who is kind of going off the deep end lately and I don’t know what to do.

We used to hang out in basically every free moment I had, not necessarily by my choice, but we’re roommates so it was hard to avoid.

It got to a point where my room felt more like their living room, and I got a new job that was requiring more of me, so I tried as gently as possible to be like “hey I can’t hang out in every spare moment anymore”

Now they’re freaking out. They cried about it when I said the above, and every day since then has sort of been chaos. Last night I got a call at 3 am weeping, but she wouldn’t tell me what’s going on. She keeps alluding to some pretty concerning impulses, but won’t elaborate.

I’m at a loss for what to do. The last person in my position cut them off for being unstable, and she went scorched earth smearing the dude’s name to her friends. So that’s what I fear is waiting for me if I try to establish/enforce more (or existing) boundaries.

What do I do?
